Every day is a blessing from God Most High, giving us everything we need to help us exalt His name in His glory.
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” – Genesis 1:1
We have been taught in Bible school that God created everything from nothing. As stated in the Book of Genesis, God Most High created all of existence in six days. On the seventh day, He took a rest from all His labor. As believers, we take this into our hearts and accept His blessings every day.
Glory to Glory by Alvan Quamina is a book that presents the glory of God and how it affects our lives. It is a contemporary study of the reality of Jehovah-Elyon, the Most High of heaven and Earth. This book uses different views of several religions, taking into account the existence of the triune God.
Here are signs of His presence in creation:
Nature’s Beauty and Majesty
Have you ever thought to yourself about what goes beyond everything you see? Plants, animals, landscapes, patterns, cycles, etc, are all signs of the omnipresence of God. Nature is what we see in the physical and elemental sense of the world. It goes beyond the vastness of the universe, which is incomprehensible to mere mortals like us. Everything we see outside is created by God Most High.
Complexity of Life
Life itself is complex and goes beyond our comprehension. Have you ever wondered where, when, and why all life started? The idea or origin of life is still a mystery to us. In science, being a living organism is still a complex organization: atoms – molecules – cells – tissues – organs – organ systems – organism. Science can break it down to its structural order, but the way these components work together to form life is still baffling.

We have been asking the same questions about life over the centuries. Even our ways of creating thoughts are part of the complexities, such as “why do we think?” The Book of Genesis documented this with God Most High front and center. Through its passages, the book shows where, how, and why everything came about.
Complexity of Nature
Life isn’t the only thing that is mysterious. Nature itself and the non-living elements add to the wonders that can be difficult to explain. Everything around us has its purpose. For example, the existence and positioning of our planet and the sun are a great reason why life exists. Other things, such as gravity, tides, wind systems, and water cycles, are some things that add to the complexity of nature, reminding us that God Most High has blessed us with His glory.
Sense of the Sacred in Nature
It has been documented that people from the past worshipped a higher power. There are places or objects on Earth that have been considered sacred by a group of indigenous people. Do you know why? These places and objects made them feel the presence of the sacred in nature. A long time ago, people worshipped fire, mountains, rivers, seasons, rains, trees, and boulders because they saw these as sacred entities that symbolized the Higher Power. As believers, we believe in the passage in the Bible that states how these were created by God Most High.
The Moral Order
What is wrong and right? What is good and bad? How did it all start? As believers, one of the foundations of our moral order is God’s commandments. When are we right? Why is it right? Can the right be wrong and vice versa?
Our Capacity to Wonder and Worship
Over the years, humans have become smarter and more aware of their surroundings. Until now, it is still a conundrum how we can construct thoughts and ideas, and even perform simple to complex tasks. The way we worship God Most High also becomes an instinct, especially for those who come from a lineage of strong believers.

FINAL THOUGHTS
The world we live in is so full of wonder, and some of them are still a mystery to us. We, as believers, can only grasp the ideas that we can comprehend through science or Biblical studies. What makes it more interesting is that we are a part of the mystery, glory, and blessing of God Most High.
